First Visit (45 minutes):
Intake form – By arriving 5-10 minutes early for your appointment an intake form can be completed. The intake form provides Dr. Gaelan with information on your main complaint and health history. If you have any imaging, such as x-rays, CT, or MRI, then this is a good time to bring it to the clinic.
History – A thorough history is performed by Dr. Gaelan to evaluate your individual complaints and goals. This is also an opportunity for us to become familiar with your health history.
Examination – An examination of relevant areas will help Dr. Gaelan reach a diagnosis. An examination may include a postural assessment, gait analysis, range of motion testing, orthopedic testing, nerve root testing, or other relevant testing.
Report of Findings/Consent – This portion on the appointment allows Dr. Gaelan to explain the diagnosis(es) and your options for care. Patient consent must always be obtained prior to treatment and an understanding of goals and expected outcomes will be discussed.
Treatment – Treatment will depend on the clinical condition, chiropractor’s recommendation, and most importantly, the patient’s preference.
Follow-up Visits (20 minutes):
Follow up visits consist of treatment that is tailored to the patient’s clinical circumstances. This may vary from visit to visit as our goal is to get you feeling and moving better as quickly as possible.
